We face a freshwater emergency of both water quality and water security. The UK’s water usage patterns are unsustainable. With an average daily consumption of 140 litres per person, we far exceed the European average of 100 litres. This excessive consumption, coupled with ageing infrastructure that leaks a staggering 3 billion litres of water daily, strains our finite water resources.
